A Spiderweb Woven Around Our Cultures

A spiderweb has been woven around our cultures for generations, which has impacted every one of our lives. Especially in the last 500 years, with the growth of modern rationalism.

Some advances in technology have legitimized this all-encompassing worldview with an authority that surpasses all others. Some call it an approaching technocracy, where the “men in white coats” rule society. Because the experts “know best” their pronouncements become rules.

Other views become misinformation and holders of them are punished and “re-educated.” How much of this web that has been woven over the past 500 years is false? How much of what we now take for granted is just the protocol of our cultural conditioning? How much freedom have we handed over for convenience and social respect?

This materialistic/ naturalist/ atheist worldview was introduced at the same time as the scriptures became public property through the invention of the printing press, as a counter measure to freedom. What we thought was setting us free, through the comforts of discovery, has corralled us like sheep into a pen. It’s not the end. We have woken up in a war we didn’t see coming, and now God is renewing our humanity.
