Wurin Alheri (Place Of Kindness)

The word ‘Alheri’ is a Hausa translation of the word ‘Kindness’. Hausa is one of the major spoken languages most especially in the northern part of Nigeria.

The word ‘Kindness’ appears meaningfully more than seven (7) thousand times in the Bible. True followers of Jesus see kindness all around Him. It is important to know that kindness is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit who is God; and this means that without kindness there is no Holy Spirit, and if there is no Holy Spirit it is as good as saying there is no Christ.

The advance Learner Dictionary define kinds as “the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.

The early Church which began on the Pentecost day was clearly seen as a generous and considerate society, the Church was identified by these virtues. It became obvious and those who had property for their luxury had to sell it or bring it to the Apostles’ feet for distribution. Monopoly was destroyed and decentralized economy was introduced because a new government, the government of Christ came in with new values.

Wherever Christ rules it becomes a place of kindness, a place where you will find generous and considerate people who are not just willing to help but look around to see who is in need of help. It was for this reason Christian Faith Ministries headquarter was named ‘Wurin Alheri’ which means ‘The Place of Kindness'.

We as a body of Christ and as lights of the world must shine through dark corners of selfishness, hatred and greediness. Christian Faith Ministries sees this as necessity therefore has written it boldly on the ministry’ entrance and  on a bus that carries staff and school pupils around.

Injustice which results to war and crime has rendered millions of people all over the world homeless, impoverished, weak and emotionally broken.  It takes only a kindhearted community like the Church to heal the broken hearted. If we must follow Christ, we must join force with His government, which is a caring community to raise up the broken hearted in our communities.
