Going Green With Compost

Silas, CFM Staff preparing Compost for the green house

Christian Faith Farm is preparing compost for the green house where tomatoes, carrots and other vegetables can be raised to supplement children’s diet in Christian Faith Crisis Homes.

Nowadays, the use of compost to improve soil nutrients is moribund, chemical or inorganic fertilizers are been used in place of compost or organic manures.  This does not go well with the soil because over a period of time, some of the important biological components of the soil get destroyed or killed. With this in mind, it is far better to go green with compost (nature) than going green with chemical (inorganic fertilizers) so that the biological components of the soil will be preserved.

Christian Faith Farm is circulating the remains of animal from the CFM farms to enrich the soil and preserve it virility. This method is creation friendly as it keeps the ecological system of the soil balanced.
