As far as Dung and his family are concerned, Community Dam is
an answered prayer and a life saving project to the community.
Dung told the media team that his entire family has been making maximum use
of the Dam for farming Irish Potatoes and tomatoes most especially during the
dry season for a good number of years now.
According to Dung’s family, “we have made a lot of money
from this farming over the years, if not for this community Dam, this wouldn't have been possible. As you can see Irish potatoes been harvested, our tomatoes are
still coming up. Immediately we are done with harvesting our Irish potatoes, we
will pant maize. We can't see this kind of opportunity and allow it to waste away just like that.”

Apart from these farming activities, the Dam is used for industrial
purposes, like block making and supplying Wurin Alheri, as well as watering many Fulani cattle, bringing social cohesion and peace. This is also directly or indirectly reducing the unemployment rate within
the community. We see many more farming and industrial activities warming up to utilize the community Dam made available by Christian Faith Ministries and partners.
Thanks to the partners and well wishers of Christian Faith Ministries
for their financial and moral support which is transforming people’s lives here
in the northern part of Nigeria.
