Peace Building Course Has Changed Me

To Deborah, an indigene of Imo state, Christian Faith Institute (CFI) is the right place to be in pursuit of Godliness or God’s truth. Deborah who spoke with CFM media and communication earlier today said God brought her to Christian Faith Institute for a purpose and indeed her life has been transformed by the balanced and practical teaching she has been taught.

According to her, “when I made my final decision to go to bible college, I prayed and asked God to help me choose the right one and God showed me Christian Faith Institute. I came into CFI with uncontrolled anger and thus at the beginning, I found myself arguing or quarreling with others in the hostel. I was easily angered, not willing to tolerate others but now is a different story. Peace Building Course has played a vital role in life. It has taught me to forgive and relate better with people from various backgrounds. God is calling me into charity works and this is the right place to be. Christian Faith Institute gave me scholarship to study and God has been faithful to me.  I have found peace within me here and I will be extending my studies to the degree level to learn more”.

Just like any other student, Deborah is learning photography from Christian Faith vocational Center, a platform provided by Christian Faith Ministries to empower community youths free of charge. Many graduates from the bible college are using these skills to earn a living while preaching the gospel in their communities. Instead of extorting money from church members or people around, these vocational skills are rather helping these graduate or missionaries most especially missionaries in northern part Nigeria to cater for their needs and that of the people around them.

Paul also wrote, “Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me. I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 21:34-35).

This is why vocational skills are vital to bible college students. To help them live right and serve the Lord while preaching the gospel. Something that many bible colleges and other similar institutions don’t have in mind.
