I Was Welcomed Even Though I Had no Money and Could not Read

This is one of the things that makes Christian Faith Institute unique. There is room for everyone, both educated and uneducated, even as salvation has nothing to do with someone’s academic background.

CFI, even though she has kept to the standard of theological knowledge, still has a place for everyone God has called. This is to say, CFI has a missionary approach when it comes to training and equipping missionaries or believers for the harvest. So far CFI has trained hundreds of missionaries who could neither read nor write and they are seriously spearheading the preaching of the gospel in rural areas. Some are working with Christian Faith Ministries, serving in some of the mission stations in the northern part of Nigeria.

CFI has several testimonies of missionaries who could neither read nor write, but before the expiration of their studies in CFI were able to read or write very well. If such people were rejected on the account of their weakness, their strength or gift would have been pushed away. Christian Faith Ministries believes that God can call anyone, irrespective of their academic level, and thus considers anyone that comes. Christ's disciples were considered illiterate. “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled….” (Acts 4:13). CFI educates all for the gospel of Jesus Christ, anyone that God calls is welcomed in Christian Faith Institute.

And to encourage such people, CFI gives them 100% scholarship with free accommodation, feeding, and medical care to enable them to settle down and focus on their studies. This is a heavy task but it is the cross CFI must carry in order to follow Christ.

Anthony Hussaini here is one of them. He has spent two years in the bible college with free access to everything that the bible college has, necessary for training and equipping missionaries. Anthony told Media and Communication that his friend shared with him his testimony of hope from his own experience in CFI. Anthony's parents told him that they would have gladly supported him if had chosen secular education rather than going to any bible college. Even with that, Anthony was not discouraged. The testimonies from Anthony’s friend about CFI were louder in his heart than any discouragement from any angle.

In his words, “I could not even stand before people because I was shy. Here in CFI, I have learned not only how to read and write but how to stand before people. And secular education wouldn’t have given me this knowledge of God which is vital. I grew up in a Christian home but had no knowledge of God that would transform my heart. But within two years in CFI, I discovered that my life has taken another shape. I wouldn't have acquired all this elsewhere. Now I can read and write by the grace of God.  I came to CFI with nothing but anything I needed in CFI was given to me freely. I thank God for Christian Faith Institute.”

Irrespective of the financial burden involved in running CFI due to the high number of students with 100% scholarship, the bible college is trusting God build more structures that will accommodate both staff and students.
